I sewed a tote, a reversible tote!

I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I signed up for a beginner sew-a-tote class at a local craft store. I thought it sounded like a fun project, and one can ever have too many totes! I didn’t go with high expectations. I figured if I left with something semi-resembling a tote, I would be happy. Much to my surprise, the project was really easy! Sewing wasn’t nearly as intimidating as I imagined it would be. In fact, it was a lot of fun. Not only did I leave with a sense of accomplishment, but I had an amazing reversible tote bag! I can’t wait to make another one. Now I just need to buy a sewing machine…

Cheers!

"If only we'd stop trying to be happy we could have a pretty good time."
- Edith Wharton

After a three and a half months of craziness, I’m finally settled down again. The past months have been exciting, stressful, and amazing all at the same time. I quit my job, moved halfway across the country and basically started my life over again. I was living in New York for two and a half years and loved the city, but missed home. After a long process, I finally decided that it was time for me to head back to the Midwest where my family and friends live. Although a lot of people thought I was mad, I knew I was making the right decision. I was very lucky and found a job after only being out of work for one month. I also found an apartment and bought a car. I feel like a whole new person and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! While doing a hundred other things with my life, I seriously neglected one part of it. I didn’t do a thing with my Etsy shop while on my “break”. I’m finally getting the motivation to start creating and promoting again. I can’t wait to be back in the swing of things and have a little bit of routine and normalcy. Cheers to happiness, creating and selling!
